A $100 deposit is required to secure your time slot, and will be sent via PayPal. There is a $3 credit card fee included. The deposit is part of the total price, not additional. The remainder is due at the beginning of your party.

Pole Parties - FAQ

  1. How many poles do we have? We have 7 poles in each room, 1 for the instructor and 6 for students. We have always shared equipment, like most aerial apparatuses, poles need to be far enough apart to prevent students from kicking each other. Our maximum numbers for each time frame reflect how many students we can comfortable give a fun routine experience to on the poles in the time allotted. Pole dance is a workout! Parties who would like more time for eating, drinking, socializing are very welcome to book a longer party than recommended above.

  2. How is our time at the studio broken down? When parties arrive, they are asked to sign a virtual waiver. Once those are completed, we will open your champagne. Feel free to have a toast and chat. The body of the class will be roughly 45 minutes or roughly ¾ of the class in longer parties. We like to give parties the last few minutes to take photos and enjoy some free time on the poles.

  3. How do I book a party? Email buttercuppoledance@gmail.com to book a party. Request a date, and please give us an idea of the best time for you. Parties take place outside of our regularly scheduled classes, so we need to ensure that we have the studio and an instructor available. We cannot give availability over the phone for this reason. We receive lots of party requests, and having a paper trail ensures we do not accidentally double book our space.

  4. Can we bring additional food and drink? YES, however, the bathrooms for our studio are located outside of our space. We do not recommend bringing foods that require washing hands. Additional alcohol is allowed. Students deemed intoxicated will NOT be allowed on equipment inside Buttercup for their safety.

  5. Can we pick our own music? Yes, most instructors use music streaming services, you’re very welcome to request songs.

  6. What will we learn? Pole parties are taught a beginner friendly routine. Pole dancing is not easy, and we want your party guests to have an accessible option. We will do a few beginner tricks, traditional style pole dance transitions, and usually some twerking for good measure 😉.

  7. What should I wear? Shorts are a must. Skin is what sticks to the metal on the poles. Without skin accessible pole dance is markedly harder. Remember, YOUR BODY IS PERFECT THE WAY IT WALKED INTO OUR STUDIO.  Heels are recommended, you can always take them off if they get uncomfortable. If you are not wearing heels, socks or bare feet are fine. Rings cannot be worn on the poles. Rings scratch our equipment and can painfully pinch your skin.

  8. Where are you located? Our studio is inside of Powerhouse Gym at 3251 W Hillsborough Ave in Tampa. Although we share an address, and our studio is inside of the main building, our studio is completely private. Bathrooms are located inside Powerhouse, if you would like to use their facilities (showers, lockers) you’re welcome to do that.
